The problem

The money is in your data. Nobody has time to dig for it.

Every processor, its own report

Approvals and declines sit in a different dashboard for every processor and MID.

Small leaks add up

A bank that declines on one MID. Renewals nobody retried. Each looks small; together they cost you every month.

Reports don't say what to do

They show what happened, not which fix to make or what it's worth.

Waiting has a price

Every month a fix waits, the money it would have brought in is gone.

Why it matters

Declines are common, and most of the fixes go unused.

  • <87%

US Visa approval rate, so more than 1 in 8 charges is declined

  • 35%

of merchants route payments intelligently, though the average runs 3.9 gateways

  • 10%

of subscription revenue is lost to failed payments

What you get

Every fix worth making, ready to act on.

Start with the biggest win

Every fix is ranked by what it's worth, so your team works on the one that pays the most first.

Every fix, ranked by what it's worth this month: Route BIN 414720 to MID-07, $70,529; Retry 2,456 renewals nobody retried, $25,762; Route BIN 426684 to MID-12, $24,575; Route BIN 517805 to MID-07, $16,134; Request credits for 296 alerts, $4,440. $141,441 in all.

Approve more payments

See the routing rules that send each card range to the MID that approves it most. Download them and set them up in your billing platform.

3 routing rules: BIN 414720 from MID-03 (61.0%) to MID-07 (76.4%), 1,412 more approvals; BIN 426684 from MID-07 (72.1%) to MID-12 (77.9%), 492 more approvals; BIN 517805 from MID-12 (66.4%) to MID-07 (71.0%), 323 more approvals. Your approval rate goes from 76.4% to 78.3%. Download the rules and set them up in your billing platform.

Win back renewals nobody retried

See every declined renewal that was never tried again, priced at your own recovery rate. Download the list and retry it.

2,456 declined renewals were never retried. At your 21% recovery rate and $49.95 average order, they're worth $25,762. Download the list and retry them.

Stop paying for alerts that don't work

See which chargeback alerts didn't stop a chargeback and what they cost you, so you can ask your alert provider for credits.

296 of 1,240 chargeback alerts didn't stop a chargeback: still became a chargeback 142, order already refunded 98, no matching order 56. At $15 an alert, that's $4,440 you can ask your alert provider to credit.

FAQ

What merchants ask about finding lost payment revenue.

Talk to a payments lead

What are payment opportunities?

Fixes in your payments that would bring in more money, each priced in dollars. Beast finds them by checking every payment across every processor, like cards that approve more often on another merchant account, or renewals that were declined and never tried again. It ranks them, so your team starts with the one worth the most.

Which tool finds lost revenue in my payments?

Beast does, for subscription merchants. It reads every approval, decline, retry and alert across your processors and merchant accounts, finds the revenue you're losing and why, and shows the fix for each, from a better route to a retry list. Every fix is priced with your own numbers and ranked by what it's worth.

How does Beast work out what an opportunity is worth?

With your own results from the last 30 days. Extra approvals are priced at your average order, renewals nobody retried at your own recovery rate and average order, and alerts that didn't work at what each one cost you. Beast shows the math next to every figure, for this month and for a full year.

Which opportunities does Beast find?

Three kinds today. Routing rules that send each bank's cards to the merchant account that approves them most. Declined renewals that were never retried but still can be. And chargeback alerts you paid for that didn't stop a chargeback. Each one opens to the detail behind it, from the card ranges to the orders themselves.

Are the dollar figures guaranteed?

No. They are estimates built from your own recent results: how often a better route approved, and how often your retries win a payment back. Your real results depend on your traffic and your processors. Beast shows the math behind every figure, and with Revenue boost it reports the lift each month.

Does Beast change my routing or retry payments for me?

Not on the Platform plan. Beast finds and prices each fix, and your team makes the change: download the routing rules and set them up in your billing platform, and download the retry list to upload. With Revenue boost, you hand your payment operations to Beast, and it routes and retries for you.

How do I retry the declines Beast finds?

Download the list of declined payments that were never retried, with each order's amount, attempt and decline reason, and upload it to your billing platform or processor to retry. Beast prices the list at your own recovery rate first, so you know what it's worth. More on failed payment recovery.

Why do some declined renewals never get retried?

Because retry rules often stop early, skip some decline reasons or differ from one processor to the next. A renewal declined for a passing reason, like low funds, can still go through days later. Beast finds the ones your payment stack never tried again. More on what to retry.

What are alert savings?

Money spent on chargeback alerts that didn't stop a chargeback. Beast checks every alert you paid for: whether the order still became a chargeback, was already refunded or couldn't be matched to an order. It adds up what those alerts cost, so you can ask your alert provider for credits.

Can I see opportunities by bank or card type?

Yes. Group the routing opportunity by card range (BIN), issuing bank, card class, type or brand, for renewals, first charges or upsells, and route to a merchant account or an acquirer. A heatmap shows where each group approves best, and the rules view lists the changes to make.

How is this different from my processor's reports?

A processor reports its own approvals and declines. Beast puts every processor and merchant account side by side, finds where the same cards do better elsewhere and where declines were left behind, and tells you what fixing each one is worth, in one ranked list.

How often are opportunities updated?

Every day. Beast checks the day's payments and updates each opportunity, its value and the detail behind it, so a new leak shows up the next morning, not at the end of the month when the money is already gone.

What do I need to connect?

Your billing platform and your processors, read-only. There's no code to add to your checkout and nothing to migrate, and most merchants are live in days. See every billing platform, gateway and processor Beast connects to on the integrations page.

What does it cost?

Opportunities is part of the Platform plan, billed monthly by your processing volume, from $99 a month. The same plan includes Anomaly Alerts, Deposits & Reserves and the rest of the Platform, for unlimited users. See pricing for every volume band.
